Behind every breath we take lie countless stories of valour and sacrifice by our soldiers. It is no easy task to leave behind your family to live in inhospitable areas to safeguard the sovereignty of the nation, and freedom of its citizens. The least we can do is to safeguard the future of martyrs’ children. It is an indeed a debt we owe for their sacrifice.
Nature is being constantly exploited by human beings for their own interests. Both nature and humanity are part—and at the same time complete expressions—of the life of the universe. To destroy the natural world is to destroy human life. GGF realizes the importance to reverse this process and seed hope for future generations. We aim to grow trees/saplings, teach students to do the same, and generate awareness amongst them on the importance of going green and waste management, through this initiative.
According to Rapid Survey Report of 2013,53% of adolescent girls (15 – 18 years) are under weight. This affects their cognitive development and progress into healthy individuals. It is also a matter of concern that less than 50% girls complete schooling. While 3.88% girls drop out at primary school, figures increase to 16.88% at secondary level, distressing their opportunity for independence and empowerment. And yet, there aren’t many schemes to benefit this group of young people. GGF aims create awareness on nutrition, hygiene and importance of education among school going girls from socially under-privileged sections.
